Michigan and the Great Lakes

Michigan consists of two peninsulas, each with shores on two or more of the Great Lakes. The Upper Peninsula has borders on lakes Superior and Michigan; the Lower Peninsula has shores on lakes Michigan, Huron and Erie.

The only other state that has shores on more than one lake is Wisconsin, which (like Michigan's Upper Peninsula) is lapped by lakes Superior and Michigan. Wisconsin is the only other state that the Upper Peninsula has a border with.
